Day at the farm

Not much to say about this set. We were invited to go to a friends of my wifes at her job to visit her while she had set up for a yard sale and while we were there I found some time to snap a few shots and this it what came of it. Too bad that she didn’t have any animals there except for a few cats. It would have made for a really interesting time.

Our son enjoyed the company of a little girl that was there for the short time that she was around so it was nice to see him socializing for a little while.

Yellow flowers everywhere

I don’t know what these yellow flowers are but they are popping up all over the place here and they really have captured my attention. They make a great backdrop to the scenery on a boring set of railroad tracks.

Goldenrods and more

It seems that fall is getting an early start as the fall blossoms are starting to show. The Goldenrods are in full color brilliance along with other late seasonal flora. It’s a great indicator that the wonders of fall foliage is just around the corner.

2007 Vine Grove Autumn Daze Festival continued (Hardin Memorial Hospital hot air balloon)

To conclude the fine series of events that happened for the day those of us who stayed around long enough were treated to a hot air balloon ride courtesy of Hardin Memorial Hospital.

2007 Vine Grove Autumn Festival

It’s the time of year when all things begin to change and in my sleepy little town it decides to wake up and celebrate this with its inaugural autumn festival. Celebrated with a parade, car show, carnival, and booths, there is surely something that can be found for many to enjoy as was the case with our family and friends.

This set I took 250 pictures originally and I widdled them down to 156 pictures that were the best that I could find to bring all the enjoyment from the festivities. Though this is not everything that was there I think that this set will show that a lot was done to make it as much fun as possible for as many people as could attend.

Waiting for our son

Not much to do today except for snap a few uneventful shots while waiting for our son to come home from school. Some sky, some ground, and the kitties for good measure. All were willing participants so there wasn’t much fussing to worry about. Unlike when I try to have a photo with my wife in it.

Another trip to feed the ducks

I had to take the wife to the hospital today because she was having some pain that she needed to deal with. That gave us an opportunity to go to the park and let our son run around harassing the water fowl there and a chance to go and play on the park equipment and get personal with out winged friends.

Vine Grove getting ready for the festival

It’s that time of year again when the leaves will be changing soon and trick or treaters are right around the corner and our little town is no stranger to the changes. This week we will have our fall festival and I am looking forward to taking a good set of pictures of our small towns festivities.

Our walk to the store

I had fun taking this set today. I tried to do something different by taking some pictures of my son and some other people and that made things a little fresh for me. Our son really likes it when I take him for a walk to the store because I think he knows that if pop has the money he will get a treat and it’s good for him to be able to get out. He really is a good kid and does better listening on these walks out than he does around the house. So they are a treat for both of us.

Unmotivational notations: another walk to the store

Another day with nothing to do except make a walk to the store to get me some smokes. Nothing extraordinary here. The first series of shots in this set was taken at Communicare where I go for my therapy and the lest part of the set was taken on my way to and from the store. I found a new flower along the way so at least the whole thing wasn’t a loss. It was a cloudy day today so that makes for some of the darker pictures and it doesn’t make me feel any better when I don’t have good light.
